Our client is a global retail bank with an emerging Investment banking offering. Leveraging from an incomparable network of Real Estate relationships they are now expanding their Real Estate Investment Banking platform. Leveraging from a solid general practice Investment banking team, the bank offers the highest quality services in investment sales, debt and equity placement and strategic advisory work. The bank's expertise spans the full range of property types, including office, retail, distressed asset/restructuring services, hospitality and leisure, industrial and land. This is an opportunity to work in a team oriented environment, focused on a mix of advisory and transactional assignments. The group represents lenders and borrowers, note sales, real estate related restructuring and bankruptcy, equity raises for IPO’s and JV's and funds across all property types.

Reporting to the MD, this role will be responsible for nurturing existing relationships held by the bank and also identifying and targeting new business channels. It will be responsible for leading assignments with heavy client interaction, deal management  (overseeing all aspects of an assignment and provision of direction to staff for identification of potential clients, preparation of specific and general pitch/marketing materials, diligence, preparation of advisory or offering materials. The role will have regular interaction with our teams in London, Singapore, India, Australia and the Americas for cross-border transactions.

To be considered for this role you will require in excess of 10 yrs in an investment bank, fund or investment firm focused on China Real Estate. Experience in  Real Estate related corporate finance, property fund and/or lending background, restructuring or workout a plus. Candidates must have a strong financial background mixed with strength in communication with a proven track record in client attraction and retention and a reputable deal pipeline within the region. Reputable academic qualifications are also required. MANDARIN AND ENGLISH FLUENCY IS ESSENTIAL.
